Spring Branches

Superbena verbenas are very vigorous with strongly trailing habits. They have very large flowers and umbels.  They are great in landscapes and containers.  In landscapes, they are best used at the front of beds and they function as spillers in combination planters.  If you are looking for a colorful annual ground cover, Superbena is a great choice.

The most eye-catching part of Superbena Stormburst is the fun striped pattern. We always select for stable patterns that give gardeners the most consistent experience possible. However, when it comes to striped patterns like this, there is likely to be some variation over time. Superbena Stormburst will at times naturally change to a solid color. This can be a single flower in a cluster, a whole umbel of flowers or even an entire branch.  For Superbena Stormburst, this color change is most likely to be to either solid violet or solid white. If you prefer that your plant not have this color variation, trimming off the portion of the plant that has flowers with the odd coloration, can minimize how much of your plant ends up with the color change. If you don't mind the new look, there is no need to do anything.  It isn't detrimental to the plant in any way. This isn't a common occurrence, but it is something that happens in a small percentage of Superbena Stormburst plants each year.
